I have been working with Tanya for nearly 20 years. Now in my late 80’s & suffering from scoliosis and various other problems she has kept me mobile and always seems to know the right exercises to help. Tanya is very knowledgeable and the classes are the high point of my week, particularly during covid lockdown.

Having suffered for over 30 years with recurring lower back pain and terrific spasm, which often left me unable to walk or sit or stand, I was recommended to Tanya through my physiotherapist/ osteopath. Tanya has literally changed my life. I had a very week core and she has really helped to strengthen this and my whole body. I started attending the classes face-to-face once a week about 7 years ago, but since lockdown I now try to do at least 3 on-line live classes per week. Tanya ensures we stretch every possible joint and muscle from head to toe and from learning what works with my back I can now control any episodes of spasm or the onset of pain. I feel so good and will continue with these stretch classes forever! Thank you Tanya!

I have been a ‘student’ of Tanya for 19 years… she helped me recover from my first knee replacement and then a second one in 2006 and two hip replacements in 2002 and 2011. I am now 73 and still gaining great benefit from her twice weekly Zoom classes. She has kept me fit during lockdown and before that I was in her weekly class at Scorpio. She helps me so much by adapting any exercises that I cannot do ( kneeling , for example`). She explains clearly how to get the same benefit and strength in a different ( but not so stressful ) position . She also makes the class recording available in the days that follow so we can do the exercise each day or catch up if we miss a class. I recommend her MOST highly. She is so kind and supportive… the QUEEN of Pilates teachers. I always feel so much better in every way after a class.

I have played sport for many years and endured one injury after another. Mostly with my back and neck. I spent so much money on physios and osteopaths and floundered between injuries. I had a very bad back injury, prolapsed disc and a tear. This stopped me in my tracks and after weeks of hardly being able to walk I was recommended to Tanya. Through her amazing work I have become more flexible and stronger and I have had no back problems since. My posture has improved and I will be doing Pilates for life! Tanya is a great teacher. She is kind and understanding and gives advice and reassurance when you need it. I can't recommend her enough. I feel so lucky to have found a teacher who I can trust. I see her on a weekly basis and it is the best thing I have ever done.

Tanya has been my Pilates instructor for over 10 years. In that time her specific, yet wholistic, approach to healing through exercise has helped me through a number of injuries, and post operative rehabilitation, as well as improving my mobility, balance and core strength considerably. I partially ruptured an Achilles’ tendon, I had arthroscopy operations on both knees , i suffered with back pain and had a operation for a vaginal prolapse! In each case Tanya focussed on specific exercises to address my weakness, and healing needs. Such as pelvic floor and breathing exercises, which we continue to do regularly. Tanya instructs with intuition and and gentleness and applies her considerable knowledge and experience to give excellent zoom classes. My husband, who was a complete beginner at the start of lockdown, has noticed many benefits and improvements to his balance, core strength and mobility too. He says that its the way Tanya communicates the technique and breathing of every exercise making it easy to follow that has made all the difference to him.

I can’t thank Tanya enough for the help and support she has given to me. I had spinal fusion surgery a few years ago and came to Tanya after many failed sessions with Personal Trainers, Gym instructors, Pilates classes and the like. She has an absolute passion for Pilates, her clients and their health. Being incredibly knowledgeable and hands-on. Her instructions and guidance on the exercises are very clear and she will continually push you to achieve more. My range of movement, strength and confidence have increased significantly. Tanya’s patience, enthusiasm and support have just been invaluable

Pilates with Tanya was a lifesaver after the somewhat traumatic arrival of my first baby. After 8 days in a hospital bed she got me moving again, and straight back to work on strengthening my core from the inside out. I get the impression a lot of new mums don’t appreciate how much they need physical rehabilitation after childbirth, but I was so lucky to have had Tanya to coach me through it and put me back together again. She has the sensitivity and compassion of a friend, the caring nature of a mother, but most importantly, very impressive knowledge and experience in post natal rehabilitation through Pilates. After the arrival of my second baby, a much more straightforward and positive birth experience, Tanya continued to teach me Pilates online (as we were in national lockdown) and I can thank her for helping me reach the goal of a flat tummy by the summer. That’s obviously not the most important thing but it makes you feel better!

I had a riding accident about 25 years ago and crushed vertebrae in my spine. I had problems turning, couldn’t swing a golf club and sitting or standing for any length of time was painful. I found Pilates a couple of years later and started classes, eventually one to one with dedicated teachers. I have been taught by Tanya for close to ten years using the plinth, reformer and other instruments of torture and she has rebuilt me until I am now painless even after 36 holes in a day. My spine is fine, my balance, core strength and breath control have improved and I have knocked eight shots off my handicap.

My name is Nazik El-Mamoun, I have started my Pilate lessons with Tanya since 2016. When I started my sessions with Tanya I was on wheel chair due to major surgery on both legs and have been in hospital for 9 months. This have affected my muscles and flexibility my case was very complicated and I came as a last resort as I nearly gave up. Tanya have started my Pilate sessions with positive attitude and encouragement and always reassured me that I will be walking again. Each week I go for my session, I receive individualised session based on plan to improve my muscles, flexibility and balance and eventually I could do a lot of movements that I have never imaged I could. Now I walk with no aid in the house or inside any building, when I am outside I use a stick for light support.
